James Harnett is a developer and policy wonk from New Jersey who goes to school in the U.S. capital. In 2020, he will graduate with a B.A. in Computer Science and Political Science from George Washington University. James enjoys exploring America, is driven to improve the world with better policy and technology, and has a knack for appreciating how much dogs are humanity's best friend (sorry, cat people). He is currently a full-time university student and is looking for summer internships in 2019.

He is also the youngest elected official in Washington, DC serving as Commissioner of Foggy Bottom for District 2A08.

James is certified in CPR/AED and first aid. He is native to English, limited proficient in Chinese, and learning Russian and French.
