James Harnett is a developer and policy wonk from New Jersey who goes to school in the U.S. capital. In 2020, he will graduate with a B.A. in Computer Science and Political Science from George Washington University. James enjoys exploring America, is driven to improve the world with better policy and technology, and has a knack for appreciating how much dogs are humanity's best friend (sorry, cat people). He is currently a full-time university student.

He was also the youngest elected official in Washington, D.C., currently serving as Commissioner for the District of Columbia in district 2A08.

James is a licensed scuba diver and is certified in CPR/AED and first aid. He is native to English, proficient in Chinese, and learning Russian and French.
